Dylan Watts is a guitarist and independent developer, and the founder of Watts Audio. He launched the company in November 2024 with his first plugin, The Sultan Amp, followed by The Dark Amp.

The project began as a personal solution. While chasing Mark Knopfler-style tones, he found that achieving the sound often required stacking multiple plugins and excessive tweaking. He also noticed that many players struggled to recreate these tones consistently. The Sultan Amp was built to solve both problems—delivering the sound in a simple, focused, and ready-to-use format.

Dylan shares demos of his plugins on social media under the handle @dylanwattsguitar, where he has built an audience of over 400,000 across Instagram, YouTube, and TikTok.

With Watts Audio, his focus is straightforward: developing high-quality plugins that capture sought-after guitar tones with precision, simplicity, and immediacy.
